Gear | What's in my bag?

My first lens is a 30mm 1.4 Sigma. All photos that are up on my website were shot on the 30mm.  I have nothing but good things to say about that little babe! Very good starter lens and I definitely have zero problems with it.  I will, however, say that I have outgrown it. I'm ready to play with the big boys.  Don't get me wrong though, that little guy will stay in my camera bag for quite some time. I have no intention of getting rid of it anytime soon! As a matter of fact It's on my camera as we speak :)

50mm 1.8 Canon | Pretty similar to my 30mm-- obviously just a different focal length but overall similar.  I'll take on the 50mm for some weddings shots (getting ready, portraits etc) while tyler takes on the 30mm.   Can't beat the 50mm for the price tag!

85mm 1.8 | My new baby! I literally got this in the mail TODAY! ahh! I've obviously played with it a little but I'll be seeing it's true magic at tomorrow evenings session.  Some call it the "cream machine" Ooooh! Can't wait to drool over that bokeh!

I've learned that it takes time to build your gear. And that is a-okay! I'm a strong believer in learning your camera inside and out.  You can have the most expensive camera body & nicest piece of glass out there but if you don't know what you're doing, that won't matter. So, rock whatever gear you have! :)

My next big purchase will be the 70-200 2.8 and I can't wait to add that little gem to our gear! Especially with all the weddings we have booked this year.  Have I mentioned how expensive it is to rent?! Yikes! Just keep that in mind when you're wanting to jump into weddings like we did. BUT if you are planning on renting gear I recommend: Borrowlenses.com
